At 8 a.m. nearly every day, as he leaves his residence, President Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil stops to shake hands with followers, pose for selfies and share a laugh in the shade of a sprawling mango tree.
He then spars with the political reporters who tail him, telling them to shut up, insulting them or accusing them of publishing lies.
