On Tuesday, all staffers at the San Francisco Examiner and SF Weekly were notified that they’ll be taking a 40% cut in hours and salary, even though more people are reading their stories. In fact, on a single day in March, the number of pageviews for the Examiner was 6,000 times higher than normal.

Os jornalistas húngaros têm afirmado a seus colegas da União Europeia (UE) que a lei aprovada pelo Parlamento da Hungria na última segunda-feira (30/03), supostamente destinada a combater o coronavírus causador da COVID-19, reduz ainda mais os índices de transparência do governo do país, dificulta a cobertura da crise de saúde e os deixa abertos a processos judiciais ou mesmo a prisão por seus trabalhos jornalísticos.
